Arrhythmia Management and Electrophysiology

Our Arrhythmia team manages the inpatient arrhythmia service at the University of Utah Hospital and George A. Wahlen Veterans Hospital.

Arrhythmia patients are seen by our physicians in the Cardiovascular Center at the University of Utah.

Patients living in Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada are seen by our physicians in Outreach Clinics through our partnership with their Primary Care Physician or General Cardiologist.

The patient with rhythm dysfunction receives comprehensive cardiac care, benefiting from the full spectrum of Electrophysiology services offered by our physicians.  Patients are offered consultations, testing, medical management, and procedures treating arrhythmia dysfunctions.

Procedures done by our Physicians include:
Pacemaker implantation Electrophysiology study
Defibrillator implantation Radiofrequency catheter ablation
Implantable loop recorder  Cryo catheter ablation

Lead extraction

Atrial fibrillation ablation

Bi-Ventricular PM/ICD implant (CRT or
