Personal Statement: I have been involved in AIDS care since the beginning of the Epidemic. I have cared personally for over 2000 patients including one that is still doing well since 1983. This passion began in a private practice setting that has turned into an academic multidisciplinary clinic with a population of about 1000 active patients. The Academy has been important to us as we can also be to the Academy representing a more rural, conservative setting. I am anxious to help the Academy to continue to support continuous high quality care for Patients with HIV/AIDS. We need to continue to be the Leaders in the health care arena.
