| Education and Experience: | After serving as a research and development engineer. Dr. Burlew completed his premedical undergraduate training at the University of Michigan. He completed medical school at Northwestern University then completed his medical training, including serving as Chief Medical Resident, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where he also completed his cardiology training, including interventional cardiology. Dr. Burlew, over the course of twenty plus years, served as director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, the director of the Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory and eventually as section chief of Cardiovascular Service at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.
